4 Redcat Vertex 6 Shock Bands (SET of 4)
Comes with;
(4)Shock Bands (SET of bands=all four),
(4)extended length m4 screws-30mm length (8) m4 locknuts
(4) 5mm m4 nylon spacers
(4) 3mm m4 nylon spacers
(6) DEEZ Stickers
The included longer m4 screws replace the 18mm screws that are in the bottom of the shocks. The 5mm (bigger) spacer goes on the included screws after they are mounted to the axle/shock, with the shock band and a m4 locknut (on the inside of the shock/axle-mount).
The original removed/replaced 18mm screws, are used up top to mount the bands to the tower, using the 3mm (smaller) included spacer and a m4 locknut. DO NOT MOUNT THE SHOCK BAND TIGHT AGAINST THE CHASSIS OR RIGHT AGAINST THE AXLE/SHOCK MOUNT (IT WILL SHEAR THE ELASTIC IF IT RUBS AT THE SOLID ENDS OF THE BANDS). The spacers are meant to space them away from the mentioned items.
*I highly recommend moving your rear shocks to the top hole on the shock tower. It helps a ton with torque twist, and tipping/dipping in the rear.
It is recommended, for running rear bands, to set the driver side rear shock band at a tighter setting and set the passenger side rear band on a lighter support setting on the shock tower (because of the torque twisting issues in the rear, the truck tends to unload/extend in the rear driver side shock, and alternatively the rear passenger side shock tends to compress/load-up)
The Vertex6 rear bands actually help it gain more incline ability, as compared to just running front pair. It can climb 64 degrees with all four bands easily, and alternatively it can climb 64 degrees with the front bands only as well, but not as well as having all 4. Rear bands also help in downhill ability, and side hilling.
The bands only reduce the ride height by about 1/8”-1/4”. They allow full flexing ability easily. If the bands are run at a tighter setting, they will make the drop out (direct full axle drop down ability) a little bit less, like 90-95%. But the bands are at a length where they are able to be run with full drop out if they are mounted at the lower holes on the tower.
